Up until 2/7 I had fifty seven days out on the mountain in Jackson this winter, undoubtedly my best season ever despite the lack of snowfall. Sherman had moved out here from Cali and I was able to show him the terrain I had been praising for so long. Everything was going great. I was in the best shape of my life, minus a few knee issues from riding almost every day possible coupled with the long hours I work. Last year my season was jolted with a few broken ribs, courtesy of a fifteen foot handrail with a shitty blue paint job. This season: Inguinal Hernia. That’s right, a fucking hernia. My reward for getting 60 days of riding in total since November in 11th, was a constant sensation of being slapped in the balls (not the initial pain that is somewhat bearable, but the keel over and vomit after effect). So at 9:30am tomorrow I will have surgery to fix it. I’ll have to sit on my ass for a few days to avoid blowing the stitches/staples they’ll put in, and then avoid anything “strenuous” for 3-4 weeks. There is a bright side, a slew of fellow east coasters are coming to make their pilgrimage to Jackson the second weekend in March. By this time I should be back to normal, taking them into areas they’ve only seen in magazines. Enjoy some of the few photos I’ve taken this season. Those of you coming out will soon see these places first-hand. Enjoy the snow.

Sucks to hear that buddy. Most likely, I'm headed back for another knee surgery after it crumpled last weekend. Trying to finish the season out, but we'll see. I feel your pain.

Ya dude, I wrecked my other knee skating a few months ago, I've been on the exercise bike a lot trying to get it better so I can come shred with you guys in March!
